Our Japandi Ribbed Vase is a study in quiet elegance.
Featuring fine vertical ribbing that flows from a
smooth, solid base up through a gently curved body
to a narrow bottleneck opening — this vase embodies
the calm, considered aesthetic of Japandi design in
every detail.
The contrast between the tactile ribbed upper section
and the soft matte base gives each vase a premium,
almost ceramic-like quality that is genuinely hard
to believe is 3D printed. In person, these pieces
are breathtaking.
Printed to order right here in Toowoomba, Queensland,
using premium matte PLA filament in a carefully
curated colour palette of earthy neutrals and nature-
inspired tones. Style solo or pair two sizes together
for an effortlessly composed vignette.

Materials + Care
All Darling Downs Decor pieces are 3D printed using
premium PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament — a high-quality,
plant-based material derived from renewable resources
such as corn starch. PLA is one of the most popular
materials in modern 3D printing, valued for its
excellent detail reproduction, smooth finish, and
wide range of colours and textures.
MATERIALS

fuzzy/textured finishes depending on the design
- Plant-based and more environmentally friendly
than traditional petroleum-based plastics
- Rigid and lightweight with a solid, quality feel
- Colour is consistent throughout the material —
not painted or coated
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To keep your piece looking its best, please follow
these simple care guidelines:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or
a light brush
- Keep out of direct sunlight for extended
periods — prolonged UV exposure can cause
colour fading over time
- Avoid placing near direct heat sources such
as ovens, heaters, or in vehicles on hot days
— PLA can soften at high temperatures
- Do not submerge in water or place in the
dishwasher
- For vases used with dried or artificial stems,
wipe the inside occasionally with a slightly
damp cloth and allow to dry fully before use
- Handle with care — while PLA is durable,
it can crack or chip if dropped on hard surfaces
